Canadian Music Week is in full swing, and the hardest thing about this festival is choosing which venue and which artists to see. On Tuesday May 5th, I couldn’t decide who to see or where to go so I chose to check out a few artists along Queen Street.

Cameron House (408 Queen St W, Toronto) was the place to start my adventure. There was parking between Spandina and Cameron, so Queen was really accessible. I got to see Reenie and Cyprian. The former I loved; their style was spunky and definitely the kind of music I want to hear again. Cyprian was a three piece, which I always admire. Their set was good.

Next I headed over to The Hideout (484 Queen St W, Toronto) just in time to catch The GTs. Funnily enough, the band is form Montreal. Even before they told this to the crowd, I knew there was something about a guy & his guitar and a lady & her drums that was too cool to be from anywhere but Montreal. They nailed it.

Finally, I headed over to The Horseshoe Tavern (370 Queen St W, Toronto) to catch the last bit of Kumonga. Holy energy! I want to know whatever their drink orders were, because the whole band was on fire. I loved the performance and I can definitely say that I now consider myself a fan of them.
