While there are plenty of options to check out cinema outdoors all summer, Cinema du Parc announces its third round of midnight screenings to make your summer one of the big screen. Starting June 30, there will be new and classic films for your late night viewing pleasure. In addition, The Void will be shown in conjunction with the Fantasia Festival.

Things begin with dystopian The Bad Batch, which has a woman left outside society and must survive her new life among “the bad batch”. Among the cast — Keanu Reeves, Jim Carrey, Suki Waterhouse, and Giovanni Ribalsi.  (June 23 and 24: 11:30 p.m.; June 25 14:30).

 

After that is a Jonathan Demme gets a double header with two of his films — The Silence of the Lambs (June 30-July 2)  and documentary film of new wave band, Talking Heads with Stop Making Sense (July 7- July 9).

 

The classics keep coming with The Big Lebowski (July 14-16), Taxi Driver (July 21-23_, and Blue Velvet (July 28-30).

Things switch to classic horror with The Thing (Aug 4, Aug 5, Aug 6) and Kill Baby Kill (Aug 18 – 20). In between is a new release in conjunction with the Fantasia Festival, The Void. In this film, police officer (Aaron Poole) attempts to protect the patients and staff of a local hospital from their insane peers. Deep inside the building is a gateway to immense evil. (Aug 11 – 13).

Things end with the disorienting Donnie Darko (Aug 25-27).

Films screen at 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays at Cinema du Parc (3575 du Parc). For information about films and tickets, click HERE.
