Festival Atmosph’air was back again this summer at Plaza St-Hubert this weekend. From July 6 to 10 more than 20 artists were performing and 400 traders were opened for the famous boardwalk sale between Bellechasse and Jean Talon.
Friday night was a night of duets. First the band Saratoga performed on the main stage. The band is composed of Michel Olivier Grasse (double bass) and Chantal Archambault (guitar and voice).
The duet Milk & Bone followed for an hour long live set with songs from their EP and a beautiful cover of Sufjan Stevens. The band composed of Laurence Lafont-Beaulne and Camille Poliquin is a local group. The two women born and raised in Montreal are back from their European tour and enchanted the audience with their soft electronic music.
Of course all the shows were free and outdoor.
Meanwhile people shopped and looked for clothes, shoes, furnitures (and more) with great reductions (sometimes up to 80% off the price). The vendors were gathered in St-Hubert to welcome you and help you find the right things. I almost got tempted myself by some shoes but resisted.
