I do not have enough words to describe how amazing Anna Aaron is, as a person and an artist. Something about that girl strikes me as “star power”, she has her own gravitational pull and she knows how to make it work.

Every inch of the stage was hers or a band member’s. The venue was filled with the sounds that are “Anna Aaron” both the artist and the woman. I heard someone in the audience say, during intermission, “Wow, for a second there I felt like I was at an exorcism […] Like my head was going to explode for a moment there!” Don’t worry, wonton audience member. That was just the effect of the music on you.

Some people are unaware of how far their music can reach, and I think Anna Aaron might be one of these artists. As it was her first time in Montreal, maybe she was overwhelmed, but we accepted her queerness and took her on as our own.

An interview with Anna will be published later this month both in audio and written formats.
