New Year’s Eve is approaching. You could just stay in and watch cute animal videos, or you could haul your butt out to any of the following events taking place.

Parties

There are fairly interchangeable parties at the clubs, bars, and venues of the city along St. Laurent and Crescent (and a few other places): Jet, Thursdays, Club La Boom, Ivy Nightclub, Escapade, Fluid, L’Olympia Montreal, Muzique, Bar St Laurent Frappe, Le Cinq, BLVD 44, Commerce, Rouge, Muzique, Don B Combier, 1432, Peopl, Somwhr, Rosalie, Pinq, Time Supperclub, Electric Ave, Club Soda, Tokyo Bar, Sir Winston Churchill Pub, Loft City Underground, Karinas Club Lounge, XO Club Lounge, Hotel 10, Decca 77, Club Frenchkiss, Stereo Nightclub, Club Unity, Quartier, Velvet, Telus Theatre, Soubois, Circus, etc, etc. There is even a party at The Hyatt Regency. Here are a few we think may be a bit quirkier than the rest.

And remember, Opération Nez Rouge will get you home if you’ve had a few between November 27 and December 31. They run the service from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. on Sunday to Wednesday, and 7 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Thursday to Saturday. Call or text 514-256-2510 in Montreal and 450-664-4314 in Laval.
