The Pop Montreal free show at Place des Arts started about as dead as dead could be. Granted, it started at 5 p.m., and most people are still shuffling papers around their desks in that part of town. A few milled around as the afternoon Masala DJs did their stuff. Rain kept others at bay. Where was everyone? By 9:30, though, when A Tribe Called Red took the stage, the crowd packed the square. Michael Bakouch elbowed his way through a sea of iphones raised high. Soon he too was subsumed by the pulsating crowd and brilliant light show that accompanied them.

About Michael Bakouch

I'm Michaël, a photographer focused on people in different places. The streets are my medium. So what is "street photography?" Street Photography is an art. It communicates the human condition in public places, within or without urban environments. The presence of the street is not necessary. Its people and or objects can be absent. The environment in which the image is projects the essence of human character. You will discover through my lens how I capture a city, its people and moments. A picture speaks a thousand words Its reality is untouchable, transparent and invisible to our fixed and restrictive fields of vision. (Michaël Bakouch) Contact: Website | More Posts
