Attending a concert at Cagibi was a good idea on Saturday night. It’s where I met Syngja’s Zuzu and Tyr, sisters crafting sound and images with their almost brother, third band member Aleks. They even mixed in great-grand-mother’s 80’s recording. Good vibes and great live projections.

Saxsyndrum and Loopsy Dazy hit the stage next, a good mixture of textures. People in the room began to sweat as the volume and rhythm went up. As they say themselves, Saxsyndrum is a granular groove on a beach of beats by the pitch-shifted shores of lake delay.
Loopsy Dazy, using live recorded tracks, layers and loops kept the crowd high and even higher with voluptuous mix of acoustic and electronic music. They have been busy since 2010, touring in Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, New York and many festivals. This year will certainly be a great one for the live organic electronic band.
