Photolog: One of a Kind Luxuries From the Souk

Every year, the SAT hosts its version of a Christmas season bazaar, the Souk. This year, beautiful treasures from over 60 Montreal designers and artisans are available on two floors of the building. Food and pottery are upstairs, while downstairs on the main floor are clothing, paper goods, jewelry, and all manner of one-of-a-kind finds. The SAT singles out 10 designers that it thinks are extraordinary, but all of them have something to offer. Among the ones that caught our eye were handmade baskets by Sainte Marie, iron on patches by Belle Mine, hand-printed wallpaper and poster by Walls of Ivy, gorgeous leather goods by the Stowe, soap products by C44, and all the food upstairs. Photographer Laurence Philomène captured the opening night.
