If you were at Il Motore this past Saturday evening, guaranteed you had a really good time. Both bands put on a really great show and lit up the quaint venue with lots of talent and great vibes.

It was a nice contrast with All Tiny Creatures kicking off the evening as a two man, electronic style band. All The Tiny Creatures latest album, Dark Clock is mellow and interesting. It’s self-quoted that they sound like “pop music from another universe,” which I could hear. What I found most impressive is the lead vocalist Tom Wincek mans a guitar, a mac book and a keyboard at the same time. All Tiny Creatures have released one home-tape, two mix-tapes and last May they released their 2nd album.

When the North Carolina based band, Lost In The Trees hit the stage, the energy hit the ceiling. Their most recent album came out February 18 and they started their tour that day in Philadelphia. They continued on to Montreal, and brought in a really good crowd with them.

The keyboard player Emma Nadeau and the lead singer Ari Picker were equally adorable. Emma was dancing and smiling all over the stage and Ari was throwing witty comments out to the crowd between every song.

During the show everyone was captivated. My favourite moment: after the encore they performed a song from their old album A Walk Around the Lake.

It was gripping to hear the difference between the tracks in Past Life, to finishing it off with slightly depressing song from their album A Church That Fits our Needs. But this it ended the show perfectly.

This leg of their tour with All Tiny Creatures ends back in North Carolina on February 28th and then they continue a U.S tour until the 2nd week of May with 2 more bands, Icy Demons and the Head and the Heart. I can say for everyone that attended their show at Il Motore that we’re more than thankful that they booked in a Canadian tour and we cannot wait for the next!
