Cloud Control is most excited about the tour. Having previously performed in Vancouver, frontman Alister Wright, says he and the band are looking forward to exploring a little more of the eastern side of Canada and spending time amidst the music scene of Montreal. Since the band will be amongst the streets of Montreal for one night only, this is an excellent reason to come to see these Australian rockers perform!

From the Blue Mountains near Sydney, Cloud Control’s most recent album, Dream Cave, has been a great success. Released in 2013 the album was also nominated for an Australian ‘J Award’ in the same year. Also having received an ‘Australian Music Prize’ in 2012, Cloud Control is quickly becoming a well know success! After touring Australia and the UK with Dream Cave, Cloud Control is finally bringing the album to North America. Band members, Alister Wright, Heidi Lenffer, Ulrich Lenffer and Jeremy Kelshan are currently enjoying the vibes of the northern United States and are excited about venturing to Canada soon. “The people here are so optimistic and enthusiastic!” Wright says. “And I know the Canadians have a similar vibe and headspace to Australians, so we are most excited about spending time with the friendly people of Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. “

To date, the tour with Metronomy has been a great success. “Metronomy are total legends! We love touring with them. It’s early days and we are still getting to know them, but so far the entire experience has been great,” Wright says. And Cloud Control hopes you too can come join in this magic of their big North American tour. To all the Montrealers out there, Wright says, “Come and see some real rock and roll. It’s a dying art! And if you don’t come, it may be lost forever…” So now that you’ve heard it from the frontman himself, get yourselves down to Metropolis for a night of rock and roll tunes and be apart of this great North American Cloud Control tour!

Cloud Control will be performing with Metronomy at Metropolis in Montreal on Sunday May 18. 8pm. $32-36.
