The Artistorian’s Weekly Picks September 1 to 7

While many of us are stuck in that in-between funk, trying to celebrate the last of the freedom summer has to offer while also trying to prepare for the return to school or work, many galleries are stuck in the “between exhibits” funk. Still, there is plenty to see and do in good old Montreal before the art scene booms again within the next few weeks. Here are some of my suggestions:

Having officially launched last week, the World Press Photo is on for most of the month os September, ending on the 27th. In its 10th edition, WPPMTL invites you to discover the winning photographs, selected from the 98 000 images submitted by photojournalists around the world.

If you haven’t already, you have two more weeks to check out David Altmejd’s exhibit at the MAC. A huge installation and unforgettable experience await you. Seriously, the only way to describe this is: cool.
