Support our French neighbours by picking up some books from some locally-owned bookstores! These brick-and-mortar stores, most of which have also branched out into online sales as well, are proof one can build up a business based around things one loves to do. While researching for our previous column, we came across just a few more stores that might be of interest all located towards the middle of Montreal Island. Check them out!

Librairie Monet
2752 rue de Salaberry (Ahuntsic-Cartierville)
Librarie Monet cares more than who makes it onto the best seller’s page in La Presse. Take advantage of talking to their friendly staff members and personalised service. This bookstore specialises in three basic domains: general knowledge/university-oriented books, children’s literature, and a dedicated comics and graphic novels selection. Hours are Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 am to 6 pm, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 am to 9 pm, and weekends from 9:30 am to 5 pm. The bookstore’s services open half an hour earlier for companies.
