Have you been wondering what to do in New Year’s Eve?
Are you in the mood for party and dance to the rhythms of swing and gypsy music?

In this case, Tziganie is the event you don’t want to miss!
The evening is organized by the Speakeasy Electro Swing collective who is inviting the Gypsy Kumbia Orchestra: swing music meets gypsy music.

For those of you who don’t know The Speakeasy Electro Swing collective, they are known for their wild parties including swing dancers and burlesque shows throughout the year.
Speakeasy Electro Swing was founded in 2010 and has been seen in several festivals since then (Jazz Festival, Zoofest, Piknic Électronik). The collective, composed by DJ Elizar, Don Mescal, DJ Khalil and JS Leblanc, plays regularly in Lion d’Or and they usually invite stage performers.

As a special guest, the most festive group in town, the Gypsy Kumbia Orchestra and their acrobats will entertain the spectators. The Orchestra is an original and irresistible mix of Colombian percussions and gypsy brass bands from Eastern Europe. Composed of 25 artists that include 11 musicians, 2 dancers, 1 singer and 1 circus clown, the Orchestra explores gypsy music and invites the public to a unique experience that liberates the body and soul.

A swing class will be offered to the public by Studio88 Swing.
For the beer lovers, Brasserie Beau will have a booth for tasting. The 650 mL bottle will be available for the amazing price of 9$ only.

At midnight, a glass of sparkling wine will be offered to celebrate the New Year.

The burlesque show will be presented by the talented and charming Lady Josephine who you might have seen in several burlesque shows around town.

The tickets are available for 35$ in advance, or 40$ at the door. It takes place a Cabaret Lion d’Or (1676 Rue Ontario)
