Nothing like bringing some local literary luminaries out to read from their latest works. This monthly series features a foursome nicknamed the Soulgazers, aka the talented Jeff Miller, Anna Leventhal, Sean Michaels, and Melissa Bull. The event is sponsored by the Quebec Writers’ Federation and the Canada Council for the Arts… how’s that for some patronage! Leventhal won QWF’s Concordia University First Book prize for her first book: Sweet Affliction. Michaels snagged the Scotiabank Giller prize with Us Conductors. Miller runs the popular autobiographical zine Ghost Pine. Bull writes poetry (Rue forthcoming) and edits the “Writing from Quebec” column at Maisonneuve. Four great writers you don’t want to miss!

The Souglazers reading takes place at the Resonance Cafe (5175A Parc Ave) at 9 p.m on March 4. Free.
