Just for Laughs 2015 had an impressive list of guests for indoor and outdoor shows. One of those guests was the great Weird Al Yankovic, known as the king of parodies.

He offered a free show on July 21st at 9 p.m. on the Videotron stage. Despite the heavy rain, many people showed up to the show and the weather eventually cleared up.

He presented his show Mandatory World Tour from his latest album Mandatory Fun. His 14th album was the first to hit no. 1 in the charts.

Weird Al sang songs from his nine albums and medleys of some of his songs and he even dressed up. He wore a purple octopus costume for Perform this Way (parodying Lady Gaga’s Born this Way), donned his voluptuous costume for Fat (Michael Jackson’s Bad) and dressed up as an Amish for Amish Paradise (Coolio’s Gangster Paradise).

For Canadian Idiot (Green Day’s American Idiot), he wore a vest with Canadian flags. The audience screamed as he mocked Canadians while he rode on a Segway in baggy clothes and a bandana for White and Nerdy (Chamillionaire’s Ridin’ Dirty) and wore a stripped costume Word Crimes (Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines).

Weird Al exited after singing Amish Paradise, mentioning it was his last song. After numerous calls, he came out again to sing Yoda (The Kink’s Lola) and a medley of songs.

The two on-stage screens showed both him on stage and parts of his music videos. Whenever he was doing a costume change, the screens would play videos of real or fictional characters mentioning him or any videos that showed him as a guest performer.

It’s hard to believe he is 55 years old, as his energy was amazing. At the rate he’s going, Weird Al Yankovic can easily keep performing for another decade. Attendees were even treated to a fake preview of his movie Weird Al, which shows the typical rise and fall of a star.
