What’s not to love about Katie? This soulful, brilliant singer-songwriter has been lighting up Montreal’s stages with her bluegrass-alt-country sound. She’s simply stunning to see live.

Diamond Bones

Diamond Bones are a a “tribal dream pop” pop trio from Montréal. Think easy to access psychedelia. Their music is energized and upbeat, with heavy beats and a mix of synths, samples and live instrumentation; classic, assertive pop vocals are the final touch. They recently provided music to The Little Things, a snowboard movie whose sales are going to help the David Suzuki foundation. Catch this hot group before everyone else does.

Close Talker

Close Talker is an indie rock quartet from the great plains of Saskatoon. With subtle earworm melodies and blood harmonies set against tightly wound rhythms, they have drawn comparisons to Bon Iver, Local Natives, and Bombay Bicycle Club. Following the release of their debut EP, Timbers, in February of 2013 the band went on to become finalists in the national CBC Searchlight competition for Canada’s Best New Artist. They subsequently received substantial airplay across the nation, including spins on CBC R2′s The Drive. Their single “The West Was Won” spent seven weeks in the top 10 of CBC R3′s charts. Close Talker have performed at a number of notable festivals and showcases including Ness Creek, Gateway Festival, MOSO Fest, Ponderosa Festival, and the Regina Folk Fest where they showcased on the main stage to a capacity crowd directly before headliner Feist. The band also has a strong tour history, including dates with Royal Canoe and Library Voices.
