This hard rocking, sweat and dive bar Ontario garage band is stopping in, joined by Tacoma Washington’s Skating Polly. Skating Polly are fuzzy punk, with a minimalist self-taught aesthetic. These two ladies are super fun self-described “ugly pop.”

  1. How I cure the summer blues: check out as much local shows as humanly possible. Doesn’t matter if I go broke or go into debt.

My choice for U.S. President: Since the U.S. election has become a joke, let’s just put a comedian in office. Like Chris Rock or Jim Norton or Bill Burr or something.

Hash, a rum and coke and this horrible “Sounds of Hawaii” record I have. Within minutes the uke strains lull me into forgetting I’m in a stuffy apartment and I can fool myself into feeling as though I’m on a boat in the tropics, with some cool ocean spray lapping at me.

The best way to beat the heat is to cram your head full of loud rockin tunes, kick back with a beer on top of a roof with some friends. Forget the heat and enjoy the summer!
