If you like your music hard, fast, loud, or full of energy, the ’77 Festival taking place at Parc Jean Drapeau probably has what you’re looking for. Now classic bands from the punk scene, like X and the Dropkick Murphys, are performing. The full line-up can be found HERE.  Ska, punk, hardcore — it’s all there.

With a record fair, a poster expo, documentaries, and all the pleasure of a day at Parc Jean Drapeau, this is a festival that music fans will not want to miss.

We have two tickets to give away. To enter, by June 26 at noon, in the comments below or by email HERE, tell us whether you would rather have been part of the East Coast or the West Coast scene in 1977. Winners will receive a pair of tickets to attend the festival by email.

Good luck and rock on!

    East coast cause RAMONES

  2. I would have been into the west coast scene, where the ska punk was born and later on would bring out bands like operation ivy, Rancid and lars frederiksen and the bastards

East coast had Ramones, Minor Threat, Black Flag and west coast had D.o.A, Rancid… torn! But Lars was born in the east! East coast for 1977 for sure ’cause the scene must’ve been prime, besides most of my other west favourites weren’t even out yet
