From our friends at Shazam Fest, we have a PAIR OF DAY PASSES FOR SATURDAY’S SHAZAM FEST on July 11! Camping is free and the Sunday (July 12) is free, so you can make a whole weekend of music, camping, and good times! The festival is only 1 1/2 hours’ drive outside of Montreal, so it’s perfect for a day trip too. The festival welcomes families and kids, so having young ‘uns is no excuse for not going.
This year, Shazam Fest is celebrating its 10th anniversary so there’s been extra care in preparing a line-up and offering activities suitable for all ages. Heading up the festival are mix-master/dj/hip hop types, So Called and Buck 65. Also included in the line up are The Damn Truth, Face-T, The Lemon Bucket Orkestra, and plenty more.To see the complete schedule, click here.
The festival doesn’t end with music either. It has a unique circus component with Les Clowns Sans Frontières, as well as workshops such as how to use a forge (like a blacksmith). There’s yoga, wrestling with the Eastern Townships wrestling association (!), and even a skating competition. Sunday has the Shazam Olympics where teams of four or more can compete at stone skipping, tug of war, and other group sports.
To win a pair of day passes for Shazam Fest enter by telling us your magic words in the comments section below or email us your answer at email@example.com. We’ll choose a winner at random from all entries on June 10 at noon and notify the winner by email.
