This week you can party in style alongside public figures, celebrities and athletes while honouring engaged and hard working Montrealers of all ages and from all parts of our great city.
The Montreal Community Cares Foundation (MCCF) President and Founder, Denburk Reid, says: “Our message is simple – Be the spark, make it matter! That’s the gala’s theme and it’s what all of us need to be doing all year, every year. Be the spark for community engagement in ourselves and others to make our city a better place to live and raise our families.”
Co-hosts for the 2016 Gala are Lori Graham (CTV Montreal) and Derek Aucoin (TVA Sports). Having been present last year, they were a lot of fun on stage and will definitely make you smile.
The MCC award recipients for 2016 are:
Small Medium Enterprise
Ville Marie KIA
Ghyslain (Stetch) Gagné
Quebec Board of Black Educators (QBBE)
West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped (WIAIH)
Pro-Athlete Community Engagement
Pernell Karl “P.K.” Subban
Go for yourself, go to support a friend, or go to get your selfie with a local celeb- and most importantly know that funds raised go towards supporting the MCCF youth programs. The mission of the MCCF is: To empower our youth by developing their leadership skills through our programs, workshops and events, and by building bridges between communities.
Sounds like an evening well spent!
