Hundreds marched in Montreal this past Tuesday, March 8, to mark International Woman’s day.
Participants, young and old started out in Cabot Square near Atwater and marched along St-Catherine street, protesting against the many issues that despite some improvement over the past 20 years have yet to be resolved.
Closing the gender gap in Quebec politics, racism, austerity, capitalism, imperialism, islamophobia and sexism were some of the issues touched upon by protesters.
