Le Vrai du Faux Photojournal
What is true and what is false in art? Could we apply the same question for our entire lives? Here is the oldest debate that exists: what is art and what is not?
Is art only beauty, or is there also art in ugliness, in what we do not want to see? A work of art can be beautiful for some and horrific for others. So, then it is art for some and not for others? Does art lose its artistic status for those people?
A work of art is such if it is in a museum. Can it be in the street? Is an artist who has in front of himself a blank canvas to paint, or can it be someone who paints the wall of a house? If life is art, and art is life itself, wouldn’t both painters be artists in themselves?
Did you notice that this reflection has only questions? It will be because in life there are many more questions than answers? Are we sure of those answers? Do they give us security, or is it just a way to protect us from the immensity of the universe?
