Comiccon had barely been open three hours and the exhibition hall was already packed with people and… not people… shopping, talking, playing games, and posing for pictures. Yes, 2023’s event already buzzed with energy.

While there are plenty of things to check out, it’s the fandom that always impresses me the most. The time and energy people dedicate to creating costumes is a labour of love. We talked to a few attendees about their cosplay.

Padme and Anakin Met at Comiccon

These two met at Toronto Comiccon and got together after posing for a picture together. Meant to be. It’s their first time at the Montreal Comiccon.

Sisters Cosplay As Brothers from FNAF Security Breach

Their first cosplay as Sundrop and Moondrop from FNAF Security Breach, a video game. Looks like they nailed it. Their parents are also at Comiccon over with the Star Wars crew.

Original Mandalorians

Inspired by years of watching Star Wars, these two created their own characters. Everything is homemade in their costumes.

French Resistance of World Wart II with Hydra Logos

An original costume inspired by the Marvel Universe complete with hydra logos. He created it after playing paintball.

Okay, and here’s just some bonus costumes because people are awesome.
