No expectations. I was simply waiting to collide with new musical discoveries. Mission accomplished. What an experience at the Osheaga festival.
It started with a long wait to enter the Osheaga site. There was an incredible crowd. Even for the subway to Jean-Drapeau Park, there was a few minutes of waiting. I was then faced with a multitude of people, all completely different from one another. Some festival-goers reminded me of the ’70s; they had a bohemian or hippie look, wearing flowers in their hair. Oh, and let’s not forget all the weed. Despite their differences, one thing was consistent: they were all music lovers. 135,000 souls that vibrated to the sound of their favorite artists.
Between two shows and when I was not writing articles, it only took a glance to see gaming kiosks, rest areas and free Wi-Fi zones. I will undoubtedly discover something new tomorrow. Here is a summary of my day, in pictures, reflecting the mood of the festival. Enjoy!
Too bad none of these Pin It photos lets us play a minute or two from the concert….
