TO DO Tonight: Children 404 at Concordia
Radical Queer week started last week, raged through the weekend, and continues on into this week. Tonight, check out controversial film Children 404 about teens who identify as gay, lesbian, and queer in Putin’s Russia. Since there is a bill forbidding the “promotion of nontraditional sexual relations to minors,” a film such as this one is not just radical, it is revolutionary! The film was produced in secret and records 45 Russian teens talking about their lives through anonymous interviews and video diaries.
The directors of the film, Askold Kurov and Pavel Loparev will be in attendance.
Children 404 screens March 23 at Concordia University (1455 Maisonneuve W, rm H110) at 7 p.m. With English subtitles. PWYC.
