If you know the show, you love it. Jesus Christ Superstar just might be the best musical ever, no matter what those Godspell fans think. In honour of the Easter season, Theatre St. Catherine hosts its fourth annual Jesus Christ Superband show, complete with live band and a gender bender of Jesus (Sandi Armstrong) and Mary Magdalene (Warren Spicer). Christian Ngabonziza a.k.a NGÂBO plays Judas. A Montreal not-miss.
This year’s show is extra rocking. I don’t know, but there’s some awesome jams in there, passionate and moving singing, and the usual random hot messiness that characterizes the free spirit of the Theatre.

Jesus Christ Superband opens April 9 at Theatre St. Catherine (264 St Catherine E) and plays every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until April 18. $15/$18. 8 p.m.
