Otakuthon’s second day is known for drawing the largest crowds, with the annual Masquerade. Cosplayers came representing films, anime, video games, manga, and all manner of characters. Among them were Lolitas and Ojis (the male equivalent of a Lolita), as well as people who came in traditional Japanese dress such as the kimono. As always, the main halls of Palais de Congres were packed with people taking pictures and congratulating one another on their excellent work creating costumes.
Otakuthon continues at Palais de Congrès (201 Viger W) from August 4-6. For tickets, click HERE.
