Montreal is truly one of those cities known primarily for its great food and events (in the summer, of course, as in the winter everything goes into coma white.) So what is synonymous to the word summer in Montreal? The famous Cuisine De Rue and Alexandraplatz Marché de Nuit! Marché de Nuit is basically a night street market for all of the awesome artisanal local stuff, from food, to clothing, to jewelry and so much more. 1. The Food
This place is known for welcoming some of the most amazing (some very known, some known less) food trucks and other food vendors from your neighbourhood. This is the place to drink and to try new foods right on the spot. Whether you’re in the mood for a poutine with a whisky sauce, fries, meatballs and other awesome food!

2. Artisanal Street Vendors
Mind you, every event is its own little world with all of the different vendors and ambiance. The cute little stuff you find though is exceptional. Take for example awesome handmade jewelry that won’t break the bank but will make a killer impression in your circles.

3. For its Drinks
Yes, I know it’s not the Beerfest, but Alexandra Platz bar got you covered, believe me. Apart from $5 beer you can choose a fancy pino verde, cocktails and mixes that taste amazing. Remember to bring cash though, as most of the places accept cash and some of them take credit cards. After all it’s the street market so bring cash!
4. The music
So the party starts at 2:00 p.m. and finishes at 11:00 p.m. and all of that time you’re drinking, eating and checking out what’s new and fashionable in Montreal this month, and all while listening to a live DJ right there on the spot. If you’re lucky and the weather is nice, there is no better place to be on a Saturday.
5. The people
Finally, the thing most forget to mention, is the people. After all who makes the brand? It’s the people behind it and with Alexandra Platz’s Marché de Nuit, the people really do matter. If you’re a huge corporation you won’t get in, as simple as that. You need to be local, authentic and just all in all great!

Marché de Nuit at Alexandra Platz happens every last Saturday of the month from May to September. The next one is scheduled for the 25th of July from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Tickets are free. You can learn more HERE
