A few shots from the party to celebrate DéPFLIES at Theatre St. Catherine.

Featuring themselves and some friends, it was a blast. Opening with a sketch to present the crew, the team of the DéPFLIES set the crazy ambience for the night. Julien Tremblay, a Montrealer humorist and comedian Stefan Petersen offered the audience an original monologue in a similar style of humour.

Members of DéPFLIES performed many sketches interlaced with vidéos taken from their project archives for the next hour. I could have used LOL for once with no exaggeration!

Then, the outrageously good ROCK BAND ( yes capitals ) Dear Denizen played. Formed in 2012 by the Congolese-Canadian signer-songwriter Chris Ngabonziza aka Ngâbo, Dear Denizen had a grounded powerful rock sound influenced by a warm world groove making this music proper for energetic dancers. Listeners were unanimous; the voice of this man is hot and delightful. Other members are Jeff Louch, Alex Hackett, Bucky Wheaton and Alex Crow.
