The LA based electro-rock band AWOLNATION has experienced huge success since the release of their second studio album Megalithic Symphony in 2011. A world tour followed, bringing the group’s unique sounds to Montreal at Osheaga last summer where the band rocked their favourite hits to a thrilled crowd on the main stage. Fans anxiously anticipated new material from AWOLNATION, and the band has finally announced the release of their third album RUN to hit the public on March 17 via Red Bull Records.

A sneak preview of the much-anticipated album has been released through their brand new singles Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf), and Windows. The tracks are two of fourteen songs that will appear on RUN, an emotionally evocative album with a message. Loyally reminiscent of the Megalithic Symphony era, the band showcases their signature punk angst and definitely doesn’t fail to impress the modern head banger. The aggressive apathy lilting the sounds of the band’s work is associated with hits such as Sail, Kill Your Heroes, and People. Producing a follow-up album in the shadow of such success is a difficult task, but proves to be a breeze for the four talented members of AWOLNATION. The band feels a celebratory aspect in playing music and desires to connect emotionally with audiences promoting feel-good attitudes. Both singles have catchy lyrics and the ideal mixture of encouraging vibes and I-do-what-I-want mentality.

Both of the pre-released songs are the perfect preview that will cause even the most committed metal head to fan-girl with excitement. They present familiar sounds of fast-paced poetic verse that capture the thoughtfully rebellious vibe with occasional totally necessary graphic language. The thronging bass guitar and killer snaps off the kick drum will sure to get you on your feet, or at least out of your mind.
