Jazz Festival: Conjunto Chappottin y Sus Estrellas

Friday night was a beautiful night to hear Conjunto Chappottin y Sus Estrellas, a band that dates back to the ’40s and who ended up taking the stage twice. Their energetic Latin-jazz performance was quite different than what we saw at the festival this year. The show felt as if it carried the audience away to Cuba and back. The crowd seemed to enjoy themselves as they joined the band in an hour long salsa dance. Overall, I thought it was a night of great auditory and visual delight.
