To Do Tonight: Cold War Kids Bring Their Hot New Album to Montreal
We all have bands or artists whose music has carried us through happy times, sad times, and whose sound makes you just go uh, that’s so, so good. One of these bands, for me, is Cold War Kids. A friend invited me to their show in Vancouver in the Fall of 2007, and I was smitten. Went home and immediately downloaded everything of theirs that I could get my hands on.
I want this kind of experience for you. These guys are playing Montreal tonight, and you should seriously go. Their music can best be described as soulful and funky rock. Nathan Willett, their singer, has a voice that is instantly recognizable. He manages to sound equal parts strong, plaintive and, dare I say, sexy? Their lyrics are meaningful, and their catchy tunes will make you wanna move and sing along.
