The VAV team has organized a week of music and sound performances by Arthur Rossignol, Ericka Cicchillitty, PARALIX and Tess Roby. There’s no set schedule, so stop by whenever you have a free moment to check it out! Also, join them tonight at 7 p.m. for a presentation and talk by Jordan Tannahill, a Canadian playwright, filmmaker and theatre director.

Theatre Saint Catherine in collaboration with Studio Béluga, September 22 from 6 to 9 p.m.

For this edition of Art Up!, Studio Béluga is showcasing artist A.J. Little. Art Up! is an event meant to promote upcoming artists, and submissions are always open. In this month’s exhibit, Little revisits three random drawings from his old sketchbook. Free drinks and snacks at the vernissage! The exhibit is on until November 21.

The artist run centres and contemporary art galleries of the Belgo building are opening their doors this Thursday night for us to discover! Arprim, Centre d’essai en art imprimé, CIRCA art actuel, Galerie B-312, SBC Galerie d’art contemporain, Centre des arts actuels Skol, Pierre-François Ouellette art contemporain, Galerie Dominique Bouffard and Galerie Laroche/Joncas will be extending their hours, so we can get a bit of art in after supper.

Álvaro Siza: Punt en Komma, lecture

For those of us who are more architecturally-minded, Álvaro Siza, Portuguese architect, will be lecturing about his practice and career. This lecture marks the opening of Corner, Block, Neighbourhood, Cities: Álvaro Siza in Berlin and The Hague, the new exhibit on at the CCA until February 7. This event is free and space is limited, so first come, first served!

Fonderie Darling, September 24 at 5  p.m.

Free admission at the Fonderie Darling for the opening of its new exhibitions: Hôtel Formes Sauvages, André Fortino and LAT. 17°33′13″N LONG. 99°24′37″W, Roy Meuwissen. You’ll also be able to check out Mirador, an installation by the Acapulco collective on the place publique. Finally, the artist studios will also be open for you to visit.

Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, September 22 to 25

This week, take advantage of the lingering sunshine and get a guided tour of the MMFA’s sculpture garden. Besides the regular guided tours of their collections and the ongoing Rodin exhibit, the museum is offering one called Delightful Derrières, at 2:30 PM on Thursday. Yes, get a guided tour of the best butts in the museum. Don’t fret if you can’t make it this week, the guided tours are on rotation until the end of the year.
