Cocktails and Laughs at Invasion Cocktail’s Opening Party
On May 10, guests were invited to the opening party of Invasion Cocktail where a dozen of bars and restaurants from Montreal and Quebec City were present with their signature cocktails for the week.
The SAQ’s Espace Cocktail allowed guests to make signature cocktails with either a vodka or gin base. My friend Janice made us cocktails as I capture the moment. She was guided through all the steps.
A virtual reality station was present at the PHI Centre and many guests tried it. It was a fun experience and guaranteed laughs and amazement.
Everywhere you looked there was a new cocktail. Some tables had two to three cocktails to try. Thankfully, there were food bites to make sure people weren’t drinking on an empty stomach. ESKA water was also supplied in quantity.
Alambika is a boutique with everything you need to enjoy drinks or make cocktails. It supplies different bars and restaurants with homemade products. Guests were able to taste a selection of cocktail bitters and syrups. A little drop can add flavour in your cocktails or other drinks.
There were cocktails for every taste from strong to sweet to bitter. Our favourite cocktails were:
Batida Passion with Cachaça and passion fruit puree.
Double Barrel with Jack Fire, maple syrup, lemon juice, ginger, angostura and mint.
Don’t forget to check out the Closing Party of Invasion Cocktail and Finale of MADE WITH LOVE Competition on Monday May 16 at Rialto Theatre starting at 8 p.m. There are still a few tickets left to see who will be crowned Canada’s best bartender! Tickets and details HERE.
